Cycling for Youngsters

The Discovery Junior Cycling Club is the first club in Scotland to attain full Go-Ride status, an initiative from British Cycling.

Starting in 2005, the club is primarily aimed at 10 - 18 year olds, all young cyclists are welcome to attend the training sessions run by trained coaches and trail cycle leaders.

The facilities at Caird Park Stadium in Dundee, offer a safe and exciting venue for the club, utilising the 440 yard tarmac banked track and off road trails within the safe confines of the Park. Following funding from Awards for All, the DJCC has a number of mountain, road and track bikes available for use by the members. The club has and continues to receive support and backing from Scottish Cycling, Dundee Centre Cyclists Union, Dundee Sports Council, Spokes Cycle Shops and the Ancrum Outdoor Education Centre.
